Cycling For Water - Brittany App & Garrett Russell cycle Coast to Coast for WaterAid
Brittany App, California-based photographer, & Garrett Russell, Oregon-based film-maker, bicycled across the USA in the Fall of 2010 to raise awareness of our Global Water Crisis, and to raise funds to provide fresh water to those who need it most. They followed the Southern Tier, covering 3,159 miles between San Diego, CA and St. Augustine, FL. Garrett is now producing a documentary web series of the journey, "Water Tension", set for daily release beginning June 9th, 2012.
Brittany is a professional photographer, journalist, and blogger extraordinaire, updating from the road as the two cycled their way from West coast to East, over the course of three grueling & glorious months. Keep up with their past, their present, their progress, triumphs, struggles, and most importantly now, the web series! The bloggity blog will be the place to be for all things fresh and frequently updated. Sha zam! We can't wait to share our story with you.... Peace be the journey.
How can you help? Donate! And invite all your friends and colleagues to join in and support the most basic of human rights. Your donation, in any amount, will make a huge difference in the lives of some of the nearly 900 million people who do not have access to clean water, and the 2.5 billion who have nowhere safe and clean to go to the toilet. Our fundraising goal is $20,000, and we're only $5000 away. Together we can make a difference. Please consider a donation to WaterAid today.
